Senior Software Engineer, Graphics

Umbra Software’s technology provides the core technology to many of today’s and the future’s state of the art videogames. Founded in 2006, Umbra Software specializes in cutting edge graphics rendering software that is being used by such videogame developers as Bungie (creators of Halo), Remedy (Max Payne & Alan Wake), Square Enix (Final Fantasy, Deus Ex, Hitman) and Guerrilla (Killzone). We work with some of the world’s best and most demanding graphics programmers and game studios, not to mention the latest hardware, on a daily basis.

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our top-notch engineering team and to work on highly challenging problems – from core graphics algorithms to game engine integrations.

Requirements:

* Solid C++ skills, Assembly skills are  a major bonus

* Solid understanding of graphics algorithm fundamentals

* Professional software development experience

* Fluency in English – both written and spoken

* Proactive and driven personality, willingness to take responsibility, put team work before your ego

Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure

We’re looking for a Senior Software Infrastructure Engineer to get a strong grip on our development infrastructure. Your job is to make sure our software gets developed and delivered as easily as possible, with as few bugs as possible. In practice, this includes taking ownership of the version control and continuous integration systems, running and developing the release process, and eliminating redundant work by automating as many tasks as possible.

Requirements:

Strong programming (C++ preferred) and scripting skills

* Hands-on experience in continuous integration and build automation

* Hands-on experience in distributed version control systems

* Experience in release management

* Fluency in English

* Customer-centric thinking and a deep understanding of how software should be developed, and why

* Proactive and driven personality, willingness to take responsibility

You get extra bonus for these:

* Experience in graphics and/or games programming

* Experience in games console and mobile development

* System administration experience
