Umbra’s code has been specifically been optimized for each platform.
PlayStation 3
The PlayStation 3 runtime version has been optimized to take full advantage of the SPU’s. The Umbra runtime runs purely on SPUs and is easy to integrate into any existing SPU code.
Xbox 360
All math in Umbra runtime has been optimized for the vector instruction set on Xbox 360.
PC
Umbra’s multicore technology utilizing SSE is very scalable, thus it enables superior visual quality on high end machines while retaining top notch performance even on lower spec machines.
iOS
Umbra Optimizer can quickly preprocess the 3D content on a development machine, creating very lightweight runtime data structure ideal for mobile devices.
